On September 1st, 2026, Consul General Mr. Xing Weiping paid a courtesy call to the Premier of Sarawak, Abang Haji Abdul Rahman Zohari Bin Tun Datuk Abang Haji Openg. The two sides spoke highly of the long-standing friendly relations between China and Malaysia (Sarawak), exchanged views on further promoting the future development of the relations, and agreed to deepen practical cooperation in various fields to better benefit the people of both countries.
