On March 17, Batik Air Malaysia held an inaugural ceremony for its direct flight from Kuching to Guangzhou. Consul General Xing Weiping, Deputy Minister for Transport of Sarawak YB Datuk Henry Harry Jinep, and representatives from the aviation and tourism industries attended the ceremony.
